Sometimes the memories I most want to preserve are right in front of me: a favorite corner of our home, a table dressed for fall, and the little touches that make an ordinary day feel special.
That is the heart behind my Thankful 12×12 scrapbook page, created with Stampin’ Up!® Painted Patch Designer Series Paper for November’s Restoring Joy Layout Club. With patchwork paper, layered pumpkins, and a stained wood title, this page gives those everyday blessings a beautiful place in my album.

A little patchwork, a lot of personality
The Painted Patch papers bring together so many sweet fall details: pumpkins, leaves, acorns, and colorful checks. I arranged patterned squares along the top and bottom of the page so several prints could shine together.
Fine dark borders around the squares help define each pattern. A pale woodgrain center gives the photos and journaling room to stand out, while ribbon adds another layer of texture across the page.
The Early Espresso photo mats bring warmth and definition, and that scalloped coral frame adds a playful touch. I love how the darker mats pull the softer colors together.
Pumpkins with plenty of personality
The oversized stitched-look pumpkin is the big statement on this page! Its Calypso Coral coloring, curved sections, and white stitch details give it so much character. A smaller golden-orange pumpkin tucked beside it adds contrast and another layer of dimension.
I mixed printed pumpkin accents with smaller stamped and fussy-cut pumpkins. For those stamped pumpkins, you can reach for your scissors without needing dies or masks. A little fussy cutting is a lovely excuse to slow down and enjoy the process.

Leaves, engraved wood acorns, and deep blue curling vines finish the clusters. Repeating those elements in three areas carries your eye around the page and keeps the large pumpkin connected to the rest of the design.
A wood title that finishes the story
I created the custom basswood “thankful” title with my xTool M2 laser and stained it a rich brown. The wood grain adds warmth, and the flowing script stretches across the lower portion of the layout to tie everything together.
The engraved details on the wood leaves and acorn caps are small touches, but they add so much texture alongside the paper pieces.

Make room for the words
My favorite part of scrapbooking is recording why a photo matters. These pictures capture little corners of our home that bring me joy, and I wanted the journaling to preserve that feeling.
At the top of the journaling block, I included this reminder from 1 Thessalonians 5:18, ESV:
“Give thanks in all circumstances”
Underneath, I wrote:
“These cozy corners of home make my heart so happy. Thankful for the beauty God puts in our ordinary days.”
You don’t need a holiday gathering or a big event to create a gratitude page. A favorite room, your morning coffee spot, or flowers on the table can tell a meaningful story, too. God gives us so much beauty in the everyday.
