Christmas memories deserve a cozy place to land, and this layout is ready for them! In today’s Restoring Joy Through Scrapbooking live, I created a two-page 12 × 12 “Comfort & Joy” spread with quilt-inspired paper, layered trees, little presents, and the sweetest gingerbread accents.

A quilt-inspired foundation
The star-patterned border from A Stitched Season Designer Series Paper by Stampin’ Up!® brings red, green, and that wonderful handmade-quilt feeling across both pages.
I paired that bold pattern with green plaid strips, red stitched ribbon accents, and a clean White Willow cardstock background. Repeating those elements on both pages helps the spread feel connected without filling every inch. The white space gives the photos room to shine!

A title with texture
The Print-Then-Cut “Comfort & Joy” title combines deep green lettering with sweeping red script. Behind it, a large star adds another layer of interest. I used the Shining Stars Dies and the Softly Woven 3D Embossing Folder to bring that woven texture into the title cluster.

Repeating smaller stars around the pages echoes the paper’s quilt design and carries the eye from one cluster to the next.
Tiny details, lots of Christmas charm
My scalloped Print-Then-Cut trees are in Peaceful Pine and Old Olive. Adhesive-Backed Mini Christmas Buttons and little twine bows add a finishing touch to the layered branches. These might be the easiest trees I’ve ever decorated!
I stamped and die-cut the gingerbread figures using the Home for Christmas Bundle, placing one by the trees and one beside the presents. Holly leaves and red berries repeat the Christmas colors across the spread.

On the right page, the three Print-Then-Cut presents coordinate with the trees and title. More buttons and twine bows give those printed pieces a handmade finish.

Room for photos and the story
This spread holds five photos, with a mix of square and rectangular spaces. The left page has two photo spots beside the title and tree cluster. The right page has three, including a larger horizontal photo at the upper right.

A white journaling block with a brown border and inward-curved corners tucks beside the trees. The open area above the presents leaves room for a few more memories, a date, or a favorite Christmas quote. Photos tell part of the story, but those little written details make it yours.
Watch and Create Along
