Today’s Create with Me Monday was a sweet one. We built the “Baking Memories” 12×12 scrapbook page from start to finish, and it might be one of my favorite Christmas pages yet. The papers come from the Stampin’ Up!® Timeless Christmas Suite Collection, and the showstopper details were cut on my xTool M2 Color Craft Laser.
The Story Behind the Page
This page holds my Christmas Eve 2018 baking photos: Mom’s chocolate delight (our Christmas tradition), plus the sausage balls and snicker-doodles that joined in that year. Flour, laughter, love. It deserved a page as warm as the kitchen felt that night.
The Details
- Red acrylic “Baking” title: cut on my xTool M2 in glossy red acrylic, layered over white “Memories” letter tiles. It catches the light beautifully.
- Engraved basswood rolling pin: also from the xTool M2, engraved with a sweet little design.
- Cardstock cookie sheet photo mat: shaped like a cookie sheet, holding three baking photos side by side.
- Stitched circle cookies: a gingerbread man, a Christmas tree, and holly, each on a stitched circle, clustered in the corner like cookies on a plate.
- Papers: holly, red dot, green dotted, and red plaid patterns from the Timeless Christmas Designer Series Paper, with a white scalloped edge and a red-and-green twine bow.
- Journaling: “Mom’s chocolate delight – Christmas tradition. Sausage balls and snicker-doodles joined in this year. Christmas Eve 2018 – flour, laughter, love.”
