There is something profoundly beautiful about a room full of women coming together to seek the Lord, lay down their burdens, and discover their true identity in Him. Yesterday, Saturday, May 30th, 2026, I had the incredible honor and joy of serving with the Tw-Light Ministries team at the Ignite Courage 2026 conference in Kerrville, Texas.
As I look back on the day, my heart is overflowing with gratitude. The atmosphere was filled with a sense of anticipation, healing, and the powerful presence of God. If you were there, you know exactly what I mean. And if you couldn’t make it, I want to share a glimpse of the beauty and restoration that took place.

The Power of Presence
The day began with a beautiful time of worship led by the Trinity Baptist Praise Team. Hearing voices united in songs like “I Speak Jesus” and “Holy Forever” set the tone for a day focused entirely on Him.
Trish Wilson, the founder of Tw-Light Ministries, opened our first session with a powerful message on the “Power of Presence.” She reminded us of the profound truth found in Joshua 1:9, the anchor verse for our conference: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

It was a gentle yet firm reminder that courage doesn’t mean the absence of fear; it means moving forward because we know Who is with us. When we plug into the power of God’s presence, we find the strength to face whatever season of life we are in.

Turning Our Eyes and Hearing the Shepherd
As the morning continued, my dear friend Ann Buck led Session 2, titled “Turn Your Eyes.” Ann has such a pastoral heart, and her message challenged us to examine who we are truly listening to. In a world full of noise and distractions, are we tuning our ears to the voice of the Good Shepherd?
She shared a quote from A.W. Tozer that struck a chord: “One compromise here and another compromise there, and soon enough the so-called Christian and the people in the world look the SAME!” It was a loving call to action to find our true identity in Christ, not in the roles we play or the expectations of the world.

Stories of Healing and Fearless Living
After a wonderful lunch and more uplifting worship—this time with the Zion Lutheran Praise Team—we heard a deeply moving testimony from Jacee Creech. There is so much power in our stories. When we share the broken pieces of our lives and how God has woven them back together, it gives others the courage to believe He can do the same for them. Your story matters, friend.

Trish closed out our afternoon with a session on “Fearless Living.” She left us with a thought that I have been pondering ever since: “Faith and fear both demand you believe in something you cannot see. You choose.”
We engaged in a meaningful activity using the acronym F-E-A-R, finding specific words and Scriptures to combat the anxieties that try to steal our joy. It was a tangible, practical way to armor up and live fearlessly every day.

Continuing the Journey
One of the things I love most about Tw-Light Ministries is their commitment to ongoing growth. Every attendee received a beautifully crafted pamphlet that not only outlined our day but also included a 6-week devotional study. This study uses the W-H-A-T method (Words, Hmm, Action, Talk About It) to help us dive deeper into foundational scriptures about peace, strength, and trusting God.
If you attended, I encourage you to lean into this devotional over the next six weeks. Let the truths we explored yesterday take root in your heart.

A Heart Full of Joy
Serving alongside the 16 incredibly gifted women of the Tw-Light Ministries team is a privilege I do not take lightly. From prayer warriors like 94-year-old Lucy Thompson to counselors, writers, and worship leaders, each woman brings a unique light to this ministry.
Yesterday was not just an event; it was a divine appointment. It was a day where joy was restored, where women were reminded that they have a God-given purpose, and where we learned to stand strong and courageous in the face of fear.

Whether you are navigating the transition of an empty nest, seeking healing from past hurts, or simply needing a reminder of God’s love, please know this: You are seen. You are loved. And the Lord is with you wherever you go.

Creating with Jesus, crafting with joy.
Pamela
